“There Oughta Be A Law” Contest Can Get You Started In Animal Politics!
You’re an animal lover. You donate your time at the local shelter, you are an avid activist for animal rights, and you own your own clan of four-legged, slobbery and snuggly canines. If you’ve ever contemplated diving into politics, or getting involved, now is your chance! The Humane Society Legislative Fund is now holding a contest called, “There Oughta Be A Law” that will allow you to come up with the next new law to help end cruelty to animals.
The HSLF wants YOU, the pet-lover, help them come up with the next idea for the next great animal law. The winning idea will be proposed, and it could be yours! The winner will win a 2-day trip to our nation’s capital to meet the HSLF staff, and to lobby the new plan to federal lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
This is such a great opportunity for American pet owners. I know that a lot of you out there have tons of great ideas when it comes to protecting the rights of our companions, and that you’ll do all of us proud!
