Trust Funds For Pets
Connecticut lawmakers, along with several other states, are in the process of getting a new law passed that will help us prepare a future for our pets if something were to happens to us. A Trust Fund for our pets. Maryland recently passed this law and will take affect on October 1st. This is such a great idea that all states should consider incorporating it!
Such a law would give all pet owners a peace of mind if something comes up unexpectedly, or calm the anxiety of the elderly when they can no longer care for their pets. It’s certainly something I want to plan on having for my pets, in fact, I wish I had something in place now, in case of an emergency. Not having to worry about them ending up in a shelter, or pawning them off on relatives or family members is what no one wants or wishes to happen, but it very so often does.
