Glow-in-the-Dark Puppies

‘Ruppy’ is her name, and she glows-in-the-dark. So cute!

Animal activists, and animal lovers are stirring up a little controversy on the ethics of what some scientists have successfully done in South Korea. Five cloned beagle puppies are alive and doing well, despite their ability to put off a red glow when the lights go out. Some are saying that this is useless, inhumane, unethical, among other things, but in all actuality, could eventually lead to a cure of specific genetic diseases. The scientists now hope to focus on one specific hormone that may have affects on fertility.
The fact of the matter is, to all of you out there who are angry about this, feel it’s a waste of time, etc. think about what this could do in finding a cure for cancer, maybe even Autism. We have to start somewhere. Research has to be done if we want answers. These pups are merely the results of an experiment, and appear to not being experimented ON. Instead, we should be shifting our focus to the companies who believe that our dogs are simply objects to test products.
What are your views about what these scientists have done?
